I am very upset with my local school district right now. They chose not to air Obama's speech. I am not all that politicial even though I grew up in a very political family. I did not vote for Obama but I think he has the same rights as everyone else.
His speech was about education. A basic right for our children. I live in a city with a very high dropout rate. There are children that need all the encouragement they can get. I think it is important that they hear what their leaders have to say. Hopefully one day one of these kids will be the leader of this country. They need to know what our leaders have to say and how to interpret it for themselves.
